Three Croquet tournaments in one fun weekend!
Friday, June 2 – Senior Amateur Division Croquet Tournament. Opening rounds held Friday morning; semi-final and championship rounds Friday afternoon.
Friday, June 2, evening: Survivor Croquet for Junior and Senior High Youth Groups. Teams of 6 compete for up to $1000 in prize money toward service/mission trips.
Saturday, June 3 – Nonprofit Invitational Croquet Tournament. Opening rounds Saturday morning; quarter-final, semi-final and championship rounds Saturday afternoon. New and some returning players may qualify for new Novice division.
Saturday, June 3, 11:30 a.m. UNIVEST Lunch Bash. Our celebration and “thank you” to tournament sponsors. Representatives of each organization receive a $500 from Bergey’s, Inc.
Prizes for Open Division:
First Place – $5,000 sponsored by Bergey’s Inc.
Second Place – $2,500 sponsored by Detweiler, Hershey & Associates, P.C.
Third Place – $1,250 sponsored by Compass Ion Advisors, LLC
Fourth through Sixth Place – $500 each sponsored by Everence
Novice Division–$1000 first place; $500 second place.
Please note that 7th-9th place prizes have been moved to Novice division.
Croquet clinics and open play is held Sunday afternoons in April and May from 2-4 p.m. on the MHC lawn.
Nonprofit Invitational Tournament:
All teams will play for area nonprofit organizations. Each organization registers two teams of two people. In addition, independent teams may register to play for one of the participating nonprofit organizations. There is a maximum of five teams playing for each organization. Players who are new to the tournament or have never qualified for afternoon play may be eligible to play in the Novice division. This must be indicated at the time of registration and will be limited in number. Both players must qualify as “novices” to compete in Novice.
Senior Croquet Tournament:
On Friday seniors 60 and older compete for a Senior Traveling Trophy that will be on display throughout the next year at the retirement community or senior community center of the winner’s choice. Entry Fee $30 per team and includes lunch.
Survivor Croquet Tournament for Senior High Youth Groups:
Local junior and senior high youth groups are invited to compete for prize money towards their upcoming service/mission trips. Survivor Croquet is a fast-paced croquet game played in 20 minute rounds. Entry fee is $30 per team of 6 players. Survivor Croquet Clinics for teams can be scheduled at no cost.
