THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

The Mennonite Heritage Center, 565 Yoder Road, Harleysville, announces a Calligraphy Workshop led by calligraphy artist Lori Yatron scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 9a m to 3 pm. The workshop, “Copperplate II and Using Color With Calligraphy”, will continue with the  Copperplate font practice and techniques, so students should have some proficiency in Copperplate.

We will be practicing letters, words, spacing, and will be looking at alternative letterforms.  Also we will explore different types of pointed nibs, inks, gouache,  and pastel, as time allows.  The class will be less structured, allowing students to work on their own projects with teacher supervision.  This is an opportunity to continue working on your Copperplate skills, as well as working with some new tools and techniques.

Preregistration is necessary as the workshop size is limited. The workshop fee is $55 ($50 member).  Participants will be sent a list of specific pen, paper and ink supplies to bring for the workshop. For questions about the workshop, contact Sarah Heffner at heffners@mhep.org or 215-256-3020, ext.112.
