Goschenhoppen historian Bob Wood will present an illustrated program about old mills and what went on between the water wheel on one side of the building and the product coming out the other. The program illustrates not only the ordinary grist and saw mills, but also the more exotic and little known ones such as oil mills, bark mills, hemp mills, pug mills, carding mills and paper mills which dotted the banks of area streams.
The program is open to the public with admission by donation. No registration needed. |
