Pat Wilson-Schmid Oil Painting Classes
Do you dream in technicolor? Do colors excite you? Do your grandchildren need to put your art work on their refrigerator door? Come join an oil painting class at MHEP on Tuesday evenings. All skills levels are invited. Painting is mostly a learned activity. Bring your own materials and several photographs and let’s play. A list of suggested materials will be provided.
Join along with Pat as she guides each student on their very own journey to enhance a passion, start a passion or to enjoy some self-reflection. Our course is offered by Pat Wilson- Schmid whose work embodies interpretive, representational and sometimes impressionist. Painting from whatever feeling arise out of a particular subject before her, Pat will encourage individuality to reflect in each participant’s work. Painting continually since 1962 and teaching locally Pat is looking forward to sharing your journey.
Paint Colors/ Supplies:
White, black, cerulean blue, ultra-marine blue, Cadmium red, alizarin crimson,crimson, lemon or hansa yellow, cadmium yellow, burnt sienna, raw sienna
- Paper Towels
- Brushes: flat ½ Inch, Round No. 6, Oval No. 12, Liner No. 4
- Pig’s Bristle long handle or synthetic
- Surface: canvas board or stretched canvas
- Solvent: odorless tuperniod
- Linseed oil
Classes will be held in our Mennonite Heritage Center Building on Tuesday evenings from 6:00PM-8:30PM.
