These first-of-their-kind intergenerational workshops offered by Mennonite Heritage Center will provide two opportunities for child/adult pairs to come together around the wonderful folk art tradition of Fraktur. In these workshops for all ages, participants will each be supplied with pens and watercolors and taught step-by-step instruction to begin creating their very own Fraktur bird. Then they’ll move on to how we can each find our own style and leave with their own unique collection of Fraktur bird drawings. No prior experience needed. Come explore what the early Mennonite school masters taught their students with your favorite child or adult.
Fee: $20/pair for materials
