Featuring Perry Bush explaining what Anabaptism has meant for American Mennonites

As we celebrate 500 years since the start of the Anabaptist movement, how have American Mennonites made sense of their history? Hear Perry Bush present on “Interpretations, Counter-Interpretations, and ‘Facts’: Anabaptism as a Usable Past.”

Perry Bush is professor emeritus of history at Bluffton University. He is the author of Peace, Progress and the Professor: The Mennonite History of C. Henry Smith, Two Kingdoms, Two Loyalties: Mennonite Pacifism in Modern America, and Dancing with the Kobzar: Bluffton College and Mennonite Higher Education, among other works.

Perry and his wife Elysia have been members of First Mennonite Church (Bluffton, Ohio) for thirty years.
