- Abstract
- From 1979 to 2005, historian Mary Jane Lederach Hershey visited many libraries, museums and private fraktur collections in the eastern United States, gathering data and photographs of fraktur produced by or related to the Mennonite community of eastern Pennsylvania. She collected data on over 1,000 items. Some were featured in her book This Teaching I Present: Fraktur from the Skippack and Salford Mennonite Meetinghouse Schools, 1747-1836 (Good Books, 2003). A full inventory of the data/photo sheets is available in PDF: http://mhep.org/files/inventories/HM407inventory.pdf or as an Excel spreadsheet (for sorting): http://mhep.org/files/inventories/HM407inventory.xlsx.
