Sheila Rhodes, owner of Small Batch Kitchen, Harleysville, will teach participants the process of making sauerkraut in their home kitchens.
Learn how to prep your own quart jar of cabbage to ferment into kraut. The class will discuss the fermenting process, food preservation safety issues, herb and spices that can be added to your kraut, and everything you’ll need to know about turning cabbage into sauerkraut.
Preregistration is required as the class size is limited. The cost of the workshop is $60 ($55 members) plus a $15 materials fee. No refunds are given unless a workshop is canceled for insufficient enrollment.
