“Forty Years on the Anabaptist Mennonite Trail”, a visual presentation by John Ruth

The Mennonite Heritage Center invites the public to a program by historian John Ruth on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 7:30 pm at the Indian Creek Church of the Brethren, 821 Main Street, Harleysville.    Ruth’ s program, “Forty Years on the Anabaptist Mennonite Trail,” is subtitled, “A Visual Pilgrimage.”   Drawing on scenes and persons from 30 countries, the presentation will begin and end in Pennsylvania .  A gifted storyteller, John has spoken and written extensively on Anabaptist topics and has photographed while leading Anabaptist heritage tours in Europe for many years.   Unsolicited comments on John Ruth’s recent book Branch: A Memoir with Pictures (available for purchase at the Mennonite Heritage Center) include “unexpected and luminous,” “moves me deeply,” and “a treasure at many levels.”
