The Mennonite Heritage Center maintains archival collections for local Mennonite conferences, congregations and institutions.  Many of these collections were assembled by the MHC, but some contain early material (18th-19th cent.) that has been donated or loaned by congregations.  For a few institutions, such as Franconia and Eastern District Conferences, the Mennonite Heritage Center is the official records respository.  Below is a list of significant collections.

Highlighted names link to finding aids.

Be aware that some finding aids are not complete and more recent material may be present in collections.  Dates represent the scope of material in each collection, not necessarily the organization’s founding date.

For research in archival collections, please schedule an appointment with collections manager Joel Alderfer (phone: 215-256-3020, ext.111).
